The Society for the History of Navy Medicine was founded in May 2006. Since then, we have grown to over 90 members from around the world.
Our goal is to provide an opportunity for "Community, Collaboration and Camaraderie" for people who are interested in the study, research and writing about any and all aspects of the history of medicine as it relates to Navies and the maritime environment.
The Navy medical history bimonthly, The Grog Ration, is published in pdf format and distributed to Society members. You can view current and past issues by clicking the Grog Ration tab.
Membership is free. You can join us by filling out our membership application. Click on the Membership tab.
