Society's Third Annual Meeting and Papers Session a Success
About fifteen people attended the Society Papers Session, which featured papers given on Navy Nurses in Combat, Navy Corpsmen in Vietnam, and FDR's Secret Illness. These papers, and Professor Croshite's commentary will be posted here as they become available from their authors..
At the business meeting, held at "Table 45" in the conference hotel after the Papers Session, Society Executive Director Tom Snyder announced some initiatives adopted by the Foundation for the History of Navy Medicine Board of Directors in March. Among these are a "dues" program to be initiated starting in 2010, and establishment of a travel bursary to encourage attendance of our meeting by graduate students. Details on these plans, and others, can be found on the Society News page
